Faucet is a radio receiver slipping between frequencies of psychic miasma – an energetic shedding of skin. Bewildering and violent noise-inflected music that reels on the edge of falling apart.

Faucet is Laura Marina (vocals / PE), Landon Walker (guitar), John Graham (bass), and Abdul Hakim Bilal (drums). Possessing lengthy musical pedigrees of their own, they created Faucet out of a mutual and oblique artistic resonance.

The band was formed in Richmond, VA in 2018 with their first album, “Bitter Insane Melting,” coming out in 2020. The debut is a disorienting and nascent prototype of their uniquely deranged brand of heavy punk and noise. Due to the pandemic, a scheduled tour was canceled and the band instead went to work writing and recording the new “Lament KSO.”

Recorded partially together and partially in their individual homes, this new album is a patchwork of arranged songs, improvisational pieces and sampled clips. “Lament KSO” is a collaged artifact of the group’s dreaming and further crystallization of their artistic identity, building on the work of the first album. Faucet continues to distill and perfect their own unique brand of chaotic, high-energy, noise-infused hardcore.
