"I might have to use this on my landlord" is a sample-driven collaboration between multi-disciplinary artists Vijay Masharani & Coco Klockner. This debut release marks a shift for each artist as they take thematic elements from their respective studio art practices and approach them through the grain of experimental, deconstructed pop* music.

Masharani's production, informed by the artist's previous experience as a classical guitarist, evokes the anxious, psychic terrain of an undifferentiated crisis while Klockner's interwoven, ethereal vocalizations shift the emotional space of the project towards a dazed, naïve dream state. Together, the project draws influence from Saint Abdullah, M.I.A., Chief Keef and Holly Herndon.

This project emerges from an extended dialogue between Klockner and Masharani conducted mostly through email and video calls. The soundscape's tone shifts abruptly from acidic to saccharine - the kinds of affective transitions made possible in the slippery spaces of the DAW and browser window.
