Phoned Nil Trio has always been a band dedicated to confusion, awkwardly allowing the individual styles of Peter J. Woods, Dan Schierl of Dan of Earth, and Neil Gravander of Lucky Bone to vie for attention and sonically collide in ways that aren’t supposed to happen. While PNT has been relatively inactive for the past six years, Coffee After the Jammerz comes from the recording sessions held during the height of their activity. Those moments of pure bliss, strange terror, stilted humor, and all out befuddlement that defined the group's short life span all feature prominently in this release and represent the best (or, at least, strangest) of all of those avenues. It’s a weird listen, so listen weird.
