This album is phenomenal. It’s easy to draw similarities between this and The Caretaker’s “Everywhere At The End Of Time” series, but underneath surface noise, clicks and the like, “Cylinder Loops” uniqueness is stunningly apparent. The styles of music samples are different but more importantly it feels different. A few tracks immediately made me feel similar to how I do listening to some of the tim hecker piano sketches - a very pretty and enjoyable lack of resolution.
